Visit the Purcell family mountain cattleman's
Razorback Hut, which is still used for the annual
cattle muster, then climb the steep 4WD
trails to the Mt.Stirling Summit offering 360 degree
breathtaking High Country views. We tour through the
Snow Gum forest to Craig's Hut (film set from the
Man from Snowy River movies), where the table will be
set for you and our open air restaurant will delight
your taste-buds. In the afternoon we descend down
the Monument 4WD track to the beautiful Bindaree
Falls.

COUNTRY EXPLORER 4WD TWIN MOUNTAIN SHUTTLE
SERVICE
- MOUNTAINS SPLENDOUR TOUR
Stirling
Experience Twin Mountain Shuttle Service is the most
economical way to see Mt.Buller and Mt.Stirling by
4WD. The service operates each week-end from January
1st until Easter. The service completes a circuit
from Mirimbah to Mt.Buller, across to the summit of
Mt.Stirling via the Cornhill 4WD track, returning to
Mirimbah via the Stirling road.
The
round trip costs just $40.00 per head. Passengers
may stay on the bus for the complete circuit or may
choose to walk some of the more picturesque and
interesting mountain tracks for the downhill
sections, rejoining the bus on a later section of
its route or picking up the next scheduled service.
The variety and options of walking tracks are
numerous so discuss these with the driver.

TOUR 2: MAN FROM
SNOWY RIVER TOUR (4.5
HOURS)
Explore Man
from Snowy River country, the area where the film
was made. Visit Razorback Hut, Craig's Hut and enjoy
the 4WD decent down Monument Track.

TOUR 3: A DAY
IN THE MOUNTAINS (9 HOURS)
 The
morning section of the tour covers the same route as
our sunset tour and includes a gourmet lunch
at Craig’s Hut. In the afternoon we descend down
the winding monument track and Bindaree road into
the Howqua valley, taking a short walk to the
beautiful Bindaree Falls. From here the Corn Hill
track leads us to the Mt.Buller Alpine Village.
Following a village tour, guests will have the
opportunity to climb to the summit to gaze out
across Lake Eildon and the Bluff before returning to
Mansfield.

TOUR 4: SUNSET
TOUR - DINNER AT CRAIG’S HUT (6 HOURS)
Travel to Mt.Stirling via Merrijig and Mirimbah.
Pass through giant stands of Alpine Ash forest
before climbing the Howqua Gap 4WD track through the
snow gum to the open summit meadows, offering
spectacular views of the Alpine National Park.
Following afternoon tea at the summit refuge hut,
the tour continues over the Monument to Craig’s
Hut, film set from the "Man From Snowy
River" movies, where we watch the sun sink into
the west, while we dine outdoors and toast the beauty of the Alps with a
glass of champagne.

TOUR 5:
STIRLING &
THE KING RIVER BASIN (9
Hours)
 After
visiting Mt.Stirling Summit and Craig's Hut this
tour explores some to the more remote and
challenging four wheel drive tracks. Experience the
thrill of fording the river through five river
crossings as the track winds its way down the King
Basin Road to Pineapple flat. Climb up out of the
valley and across Mt. Number 3, offering views to
the farming plains far below, before descending
again down the winding and twisting snow gum flanked
trail into Carters Road and on to Mansfield.

CONDITIONS:
All tours have a
minimum of 4 persons, however, we will accept
bookings for two or three persons on the payment of
a $20.00 per head surcharge.
Children’s
rates apply for children aged 16 years and under and
are 50% of the adult rate.
Tours
can be booked to depart from the Mt.Buller Alpine
Village at no extra charge. Please arrange at the
time of booking. Departure times may vary with
changes to length of daylight hours and daylight
savings, please check at time of booking.
